Why Should You
Choose Me As Your Therapist?
Like all good therapists, I offer
specialised and confidential
guidance
to bring about
positive therapeutic change.
Unlike most other therapists, I trained at the one National School
that uniquely specialises in the ‘utilisation’ approach.
As a result of my accredited training in
'Ericksonian Hypnotherapy'
I can offer ‘customised’
– rather
than ‘standardised’ - approaches to individual therapy - tailored to the singular and distinctive needs
of each and every
client.
I have been fortunate to have received instruction at both of
the main hypnotherapy training agencies in the U.K.
At ‘The National College of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy’
(N.C.H.P.)
and at
‘The National School of Hypnotherapy and
Psychotherapy.’ (N.S.H.A.P.)
Both organisations have
long and trusted traditions of high quality
training,
and are acknowledged
as two of the finest schools for
hypnotherapy tuition,
by all the main ‘Professional Registers’.
They also offer the longest training programmes available,
with
the N.S.H.A.P programme taking over four years to complete.
Additionally I have benefited from 'Stage 3 Level' Training
at the
'Centre Training International School'
(C.T.I.S.)
Here I gained 'Certificates' in:
'Psychopathology and Psycho-pharmacology'
and
'Ethics'
A Short Biog.
I first qualified in the mid-1980’s, with a ‘Stage 1’
initial Certificate, which enabled me to work with clients
in a
small part-time practice
in the West Midlands. (Coventry)
This founded my strong
interest and continuing study into hypnotherapy.
Due, however, to promotion within my main profession – teaching,
I chose not pursue a full-time career
as a hypnotherapist at that
time.
I moved to Bristol, 1993-2008,
and became
Deputy Principal
of
'John Cabot City Technology College'.
In 2002, I re-trained, in 'Ericksonian Hypnotherapy',
and having
gained a full ‘Diploma’ (Dip.T.H.P.)
I built up a strong client base in Bristol, 2002-2008.
In March 2008, I gained another promotion within teaching,
and am currently the Vice-Principal,
at the brand new,
'RSA Academy,' in Tipton, West Midlands.
This move has brought me back to Coventry,
where I originally studied (Warwick University)
and taught for 20 years.
Dr. Milton Erickson
was indisputably one of the finest,
if not ‘the finest’ practitioner,
of psychotherapeutic and hypnotic interventions and
treatments.
I consider my training, therefore, to be both
extensive and of the highest integrity.
It is this,
as well as considerable life experience,
founded upon
a successful main career,
that I feel I can offer clients seeking
the security
of safe and effective consultations and treatments.
